This one-year program is designed to promote professional practice through specific clinical and educational activities. As a member of the nursing staff on the assigned unit, you are provided with additional clinical support and mentoring relationships to help you develop your abilities and confidence as a professional nurse. Special educational activities are scheduled throughout the year including seminar days, clinical observation experiences and clinically specific education programs. Provides competent, safe and compassionate care based on established NYUHC Patient Care and Nursing Standards. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, formulates the initial plan of care with the provider (physician or nurse practitioner) and collaborates with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes; utilizes principles of assignment and delegation consistent with the NY State Nurse Practice Act. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have: Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required; Fluent written and spoken English language skills. Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS Preferred Qualifications: Membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. The salary range for the role is $112,360 - $112,360 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
