Basic Function and Responsibility: Under supervision, provide security functions for the ALL personnel, buildings and grounds. Exercise independent judgment regarding unusual events which may occur based on established college policies and procedures. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Patrol, inspect and protect campus buildings and grounds for the prevention of crimes, parking and/or traffic control. 2. Receive and respond to complaints, questions, and requests concerning campus security. 3. Check for potential fire hazards and report same as necessary. 4. Prepare and write-up reports on any incidents which occur on duty shift. Supervision Received: Supervision is received from the Coordinators of the High School Credit Program or their designee. Supervision Exercised: None. Job Requirements: Qualifications and Working Conditions: 1. High school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable abilities can be acquired is necessary. 2. One year of related job experience is desirable. Additional Information: 2 positions Hourly rate : $17.33 plus 7% differential for evening work hours for a total of $18.54.
