Introduction to Role:

As the Head of Center for Innovations & Medical Excellence, you will be a pivotal member of the US medical leadership team, engaging with multiple partners across Research and Development (R&D) and Oncology Business Unit (OBU) - Medical and Commercial. You will lead a team of experts driving medical excellence across medical field teams and HQ medical, improving operational efficiencies, processes, administration, innovative and strategic projects, and internal and external partnerships.

Accountabilities:

As the Head of Center for Innovations & Medical Excellence, your main duties will include acting as a Chief of Staff for the VP of USMA Oncology, developing a framework and operating model for Next-Gen Med Affairs within USMA Oncology, and building and leading a diverse and inclusive proactive team of authorities. You will also be responsible for optimizing insights capturing and applying the right systems and data sources available to the organization (internal & external), driving prioritization, efficiency, and operational excellence, and supervising and evaluating the impact of medical activities.

Essential Skills/Experience:
  • Sophisticated scientific Degree (MBBS, PharmD, PhD, or MD) or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of global/in-market Pharma experience
  • Oncology experience
  • Experience shaping, developing & successfully implementing plans
  • Process management expertise: with experience in applying LEAN Methodology to reduce complexity
  • Experience in strategic planning processes and tools
  • Experience in understanding forecasts, budgets, financial processes, and tools
  • Experience in an alliance or strategic partnership
  • Experience in translating business needs into a coordinated plan
  • Results-orientation with ability to develop creative and simple solutions to sophisticated problems
Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Sophisticated scientific Degree (MBBS, PharmD, PhD, or MD) or equivalent experience and an MBA
  • A minimum of 10 years of global/in-market pharma experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of Oncology and R&D experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience driving projects in Medical Affairs
  • Experience crafting and implementing US/Global strategies
  • Experience in leading large-scale, sophisticated transformation and projects

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $269,869 to $404,803 Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
