Lead Automation Engineer

Description

Accountabilities:

As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will provide 24/7 support to site operations, manage the Building Management System, perform as system admin for BMS and utilities equipment, conduct troubleshooting of Equipment Monitoring System (EMS) and BMS issues, oversee utility and facility equipment, diagnose and replace defective components, perform routine evaluation studies of utilities and process equipment, provide accurate budget estimates for capital equipment and projects, support automation programs for energy management, develop and implement equipment startup and sequence of operations for facility-related assets, train others on systems, software, equipment, machines, procedures, and processes, manage execution on commissioning/qualification/validation (CQV) documents, review and approve change controls and document revisions, and provide support with regulatory agencies during inspections.

Essential Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Building Management Systems, HVAC automation controls, energy management systems.
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company with direct experience with GMP facility operation.
  • Proven experience in ideation, conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and maintaining BMS in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of BMS technologies, system architecture, data flow, communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in system/equipment integration and networking principles within a GMP environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, Siemens certifications, Rockwell) are a plus.
