What's the role?

The role of Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate application of cash receipts to customer accounts in the Accounts Receivable (AR) SAP system for Hilti Inc. and Hilti (Canada) Corp.

What does the role involve?

  • Perform compliant Purchase to Pay (PtP) processes and consistent and correct financial bookings in invoice management, travel & expense management, and vendor account management.
  • Review & keep vendor related balance sheet accounts up to date and prepare accurate accruals for vendor invoices and expenses.
  • Functional expertise and ERP system and tools knowledge to operate Purchase to Pay processes including month-end closing (MEC) and year-end closing (YEC) tasks in the PtP area.
  • Capable of ensuring compliance with Group requirements and deadlines.
  • Capable of operating Purchase to Pay ICS controls and ensure consistent filing.
  • Able to answer to requests from internal and external auditors for the PtP function.
  • Understand the Purchase to Pay key performance indicators (KPIs) and derive improvements for the PtP processes.
  • Be a sparring partner for the entity contacts by linking business decisions to PtP processes and by delivering and improving agreed to Purchase to Pay service to the entities in scope.
  • Consistently challenge the status quo, act as change agent in the Shared Service Center.
  • Ability to influence finance & non-finance stakeholders and successfully communicate with them.
  • Additional duties, as needed.

What you need is:

  • Associates Degree, and minimum five (5) years' experience, required OR equivalent experience required in Plant or Manufacturing accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • SAP knowledge, preferred
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish), required
  • Strong communication (verbal, written) skills, required
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Up to 10% domestic travel, required. Flexibility required for work on some Holidays
