Job Overview

The Merchant Operations & Omni Support Assistant provides operational support to stores and Omni teams by managing various functions, including customer service support, digital responses, learning and development, expense payables, and e-form communication. The assistant focuses on driving sales through effective support of these processes.

What You Will Do
  • Manage Customer Service Support:
    • Utilize systems to process and manage all customer service requests.
    • Review and process responses for customer service inquiries.
    • Provide weekly updates to each Omni-Buying office and share monthly customer service responses.
    • Partner with vendors by providing monthly recap reviews.
    • Create, maintain, and update a spreadsheet tracking customer service responses.
    • Collaborate with Omni to adjust assortments based on field data.
  • Support the Store Team by monitoring Viva Engage and responding as needed.
  • Act as a liaison for store issues, communicating with Omni Central and responding as needed.
  • Communicate Redbox requirements to vendors on a quarterly basis.
  • Serve as a liaison for Learning and Education, interacting with vendors to gather product information for the Jewelry Education Team.
  • Handle data entry related to jewelry iPads.
  • Coordinate in-store training sessions with stores, the Jewelry Education team, and vendor partners.
  • Oversee special projects for the omni-operations team.
  • Partner with the Sr. Manager of Jewelry to support the fine jewelry and watch repair process.
  • Assist the Special Order and Repair team as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with vendor partners and maintain updated contact information.
  • Meet deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely across internal and external channels,
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Skills You Will Need

Customer Service Management: Ability to efficiently process and manage customer service requests, review and analyze responses, and communicate updates to relevant teams.

Vendor Partnership: Strong collaboration skills to maintain vendor relationships, provide monthly reviews, and communicate requirements effectively.

Data Management & Analysis: Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and updating spreadsheets, tracking customer service data, and analyzing field data to adjust assortments.

Communication Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication, able to present information in small groups and across internal and external teams.

Collaboration & Liaison: Serve as a liaison between store teams, Omni Central, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Technical Proficiency: Strong command of MS Office, Word, and Excel for data entry, analysis, and documentation.

Independent Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of the role and manage a variety of tasks and processes.

Attention to Detail: Focus on accuracy in data entry and project coordination, including jewelry iPad data and customer service tracking.
