Title: Clauson Center Weekday Site Coordinator Department: Apprenticeship & Applied Learn Campus Location: Arnold/Main Campus Salary Range: $20 - $22/hr. based on qualifications Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties. Hours Per Week: Work Schedule: Mon-Thu; 5:00 - 9 PM Position Type: Hourly and Temporary, Non-Exempt Position Summary The site coordinator will provide oversight, monitoring of facilities and support services for Anne Arundel Community College faculty and students Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is committed to enriching the educational experience it offers through the diversity of its faculty, administrators, and staff members. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for any position. Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As a temporary employee you are entitled to sick and safe leave benefits. In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility Job Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate all college-related activities during scheduled evening classes. Coordinate room arrangements for all courses and provide instructional/lab support to faculty as appropriate, including answering questions about Canvas LMS, logging in, copying instructional materials, posting grades and attendance. Assist with student registrations as needed. Set up and secure college audiovisual equipment stored on site. Move and store supplies delivered to the Clauson Center (Lumber, Welding Supplies, Electrical Supplies, Conduit, Metal and Plastic Pipes). Conduct minor facility maintenance as directed by the manager (IT Troubleshooting; Empty: Trash cans, Extra material bins, Metal Recycle Bins; Move waste conduit and pipe; Clean Dust collectors in Carpentry Lab). Organize materials for daily lab usage based on Faculty notes or published course curriculum. Distribute all college informational materials to faculty and students as requested by the Manager, including holiday schedules, building regulations, parking, college and school policies and changes to the regular class schedule. Disseminate hiring surveys to students and employers allowing for follow up employment tracking. Maintain job board postings and removing outdated information. Provide timely input to Manager with any program or facility problems, challenges or issues. Participate in all scheduled AACC meetings related to site coordination. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager. Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED required. • Experience related to any or all of the following trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Welding • Physically capable of the following: Lift 40 lbs. unaided, Utilize a 20-foot Ladder • Documented experience operating a Forklift and Floor Jack Preferred Qualifications: Basic Skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Exc |
