Manager of Financial Systems

Carrollton, TX

The Community Choice Financial® Family of Brands is seeking a Manager of Financial Systems to join the corporate office in Carrollton, TX. In this role, you would be part of a vital and collaborative team that works daily to successfully manage the financial data and system aspects of our business. The Financial Systems Team is responsible for the management and administration of several key financial systems. The team is also responsible for providing and analyzing key date requests from our finance and legal teams. Lastly, the team develops and maintains robust reporting and financial analysis and assists the development of your accounting project team members, see financial projects through from beginning to end, and ensure controls are being considered and maintained. All these key skill sets make you a key leader within the Accounting, Treasury and Finance group, as well as the broader organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review and approve business requirements for any Financial Systems project and ensuring controls are being achieved throughout the various phases of the project, including design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Data Retrieval and analysis performed based on requests and requirements provided from key business units e.g., Finance, Legal and Compliance.
  • Along with the Director, assist with reporting and testing of all system changes impacting Accounting, Treasury, Finance, as well as Compliance.
  • Support the team in identifying issues or concerns regarding new product designs and deployments and communicate them to the Financial Systems Team, executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) for accounting integrations and reporting and identifying and logging system defects.
  • Manage multiple projects across the entire Accounting organization to maximize productivity and leverage individual strengths of team members.
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand business transactions and ensure that transactional activities are complete and coded accurately.
  • Collaborate with executive team to address specific issues that may arise with specific initiatives, rollouts, and product implementations.
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
  • This is a full-time role that requires in-person attendance during normal business hours.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or the Data Sciences
  • 3 years of relevant management experience in accounting functions, or in accounting and financial systems projects for multi-unit enterprise
  • Experience with system conversions
  • Data retrieval, transformation, and analytical capability
  • Flexibility and strong organizational skills
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving and time management skills
  • SQL and/or T-SQL
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • CPA or advanced degree
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, TrinTech, or various proprietary POS systems
