Are you ready to provide high-quality and impactful financial leadership? As the Franchise Senior Finance Director, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance - Global Franchises, OBU. Your role will involve driving strategic and operational business decisions and processes for the Tagrisso & Dato-Dxd Franchise Leadership Teams. You will also be the finance lead on our key partnership with Daiichi Sankyo, collaborating closely with our partner and driving value from our collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include providing business partner support to the Global Franchise Heads and Global Commercial Heads, leading the QBR process for their Franchise, and managing franchise/brand P&L's forecast and budget performance. Focusing on the franchise global strategy, you will partner closely with the Franchise head to deliver a coherent strategy to the Senior Executive Team providing a clear view of priorities and resource allocation to maximise the franchise business. You will also provide franchise level global performance tracking and insights as well as benchmark comparison analysis. You will be pivotal in ensuring financial disciplines and budget control is achieved.

In this role you will be expected to deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Business Partner support to the Global Franchise Heads and Global Commercial Heads
  • Franchise FD is a core member of the Franchise leadership team Provide finance leadership to the franchise and help deliver a coherent TA strategy. Through this strategy process, ensuring a clear view of prioritisation and resource allocation and ultimately delivering the franchise strategy to SET.
  • Lead the QBR process for their Franchise working cross functionally ensuring key IR questions and discussion points are anticipated and covered.
  • Lead the collaborative working process with Daiichi Sankyo in order to deliver all financial aspects of the alliance, reporting, planning and settlement.
  • Create jointly planned forecasts for presentation to JCC and JEC by liaising and planning across regions and above market functions - setting expectations for regions/Markets/AMF and using benchmarks to guide the resource allocation
  • Line manage and develop the Franchise Finance Manager
  • Understand and manage franchise/brand P&L's forecast and budget performance via strategic influence and challenge back to franchise team and MCs
  • Engage with the Project Finance Director ahead of investment decisions/TA strategy to understand the assumptions and value of Ph3 IDs/New Opportunities, highlighting franchise value implications
  • Drive budget management for franchise above market costs, ensuring financial targets are hit
  • Ensure robust post deal management for relevant assets

To be successful in this role, it is essential to have the following experience:
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience
  • An enterprise mindset and strong understanding of the key commercial drivers of a business
  • A strategic focus but able to switch to work at a detailed level
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain
  • Executive presence with well-developed influencing skills including the ability to influence at the most senior level
  • Demonstration of career progression in global/Blue chip international companies with experience of working with/in different geographical regions
  • Ability to handle ambiguity (both role and organisational) and thrive in this unchartered territory
  • Proven track record of operating in an environment where success is delivered through leveraging deployed resources
  • A significant passion and drive to succeed, with effective project management and planning skills, and a 'completer/finisher' mindset
  • Outstanding commercial acumen, underpinned by robust numerical skills. S/he will have a top quality intellect, capable of both analytical and creative thinking
  • Strong interpersonal skills, in particular effective communications skills, (verbally, in writing and across all electronic media)
