The US Evidence Team, a strategic function within US Medical, is critical for delivering compelling evidence and subject matter expertise that empowers data-enabled execution of strategies and external practice change for the benefit of patients.

The Director, Implementation Science role is a key role supporting the organizational transformation of a data-enabled mindset to address clinical inertia within our priority disease areas. The role drives the utilization of localized (regional level) data for impactful execution of medical strategy and personalized data for precision HCP engagement. Collaborating with headquarters and field medical teams, the role will guide and shape the development of impactful
medical objectives and tangible key results that are intent on practice change and drive the business. This exciting role requires an experienced individual with knowledge of research methods, strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills supporting our internal stakeholders with insight and expertise to accelerate adoption of Guideline Directed Medication
Therapy (GDMT) for improved patient outcome.

What you'll do:

- Champion a data- enabled mindset transformation within the medical organization as the medical team develops approaches to accelerating adoption of evidence based medicine (EBM)/ guideline directed medical therapy (GDMT) to improve patient outcomes
- Guide and shape the development of targeted execution of medical strategy with the Core Medical Teams, ensuring that the team generate and execute medical strategy with a focus on evolving practice patterns and providing value to the business
- Execute innovative implementation solutions/ programs to improve utilization of evidence based interventions including EHR alerts and other disease management tools
- Work with appropriate external scientific leaders, patient advocacy groups and/or regulatory authorities for data-enabled practice change initiatives
- Empower the Field Medical Team in transforming HCP engagement into targeted and tailored interaction for maximal impact
- Maintain a high level of expertise on the US Biopharmaceuticals disease areas and adequate awareness and evolution of guidelines within the therapeutic areas

Essential for role:

- Advanced degree in a relevant field is required (e.g., health economics, outcomes research, health services research, epidemiology, health policy or related fields); Doctoral degree preferred (PhD, PharmD, MD)
- Minimum of ten years of relevant experience (e.g., academia, consulting, and/or industry), including a minimum of five years in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/ medical device industry
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple cross-functional teams at the brand or disease area in country, regional or global organization
- Direct experience using Real World Data/ secondary data and its application is highly desired
- Well-developed leadership and problem solving skills with capability to access internal and external resources for advice
- Able to execute projects, including engagement with key stakeholders, with high degree of autonomy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
