VP Global Commercial IT Location(s): Gaithersburg (US) or Luton (UK) Introduction to Role: Are you ready to leverage technology to impact patients and ultimately save lives? We are seeking a VP of Commercial IT, a key member of the AZ IT Leadership Team (ITLT), who will be the accountable leader of Global Commercial IT for all AstraZeneca's (AZ) Commercial Units. This role requires exceptional strategic thinking, judgement and influencing skills to develop and implement technology platforms and solutions that improve the speed, quality, impact and efficient delivery of commercial priorities. Accountabilities: As the VP of Global Commercial IT, you will be responsible for all aspects of Commercial Information Technology for AZ's Commercial Business Unit divisions. You will be a strategic technology partner and advisor to the Commercial organization and leadership teams, driving business capability with a technology perspective. Your role will be accountable to the Commercial Business Units, as an ITLT team member, for the delivery of overall IT enterprise service. You will foster innovation with both technology and the business, constantly looking for technologies, trends and opportunities for business improvement and transformation. Essential Skills/Experience: - Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject area - Experience of developing and driving IT strategy in a complex regulated multi-national environment - Demonstrated experience leading transformation and working with disruptive change that enables a future ready organization - Proven track record of driving major organizational change - Experience of management of multi-layered teams in a global environment - Extensive IT expertise coupled with global commercial experience in the Life Sciences sector - Deep understanding of relevant technologies and proven application of technology to business priorities - Experience with driving operational efficiency using automation, standardization, reuse and productivity - Track record of attracting and developing talent and optimizing performance in direct and matrixed leadership roles. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
