Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented communications professional to fill the role of Content Manager. The manager will collaborate with colleagues across Habitat's programs, colleagues across our global network, and other key global communications stakeholders to help shape and implement strategic content plans.

The Content Manager creates or collaborates to create compelling assets that support Habitat's brand and highlight the organization's mission and strategic initiatives and priorities. The manager supports critical marquee publications and special projects, such as Habitat magazine and the annual report, and works on a wide variety of content types for targeted audiences, including those of Habitat's owned, public-facing channels.

Working within the organization's content strategy, the Content Manager originates ideas and manages conversations and schedules. The manager compellingly markets and accurately depicts Habitat's work around the world, focuses on audience engagement and needs, considers the specific content and design requirements of our digital platforms and print deliverables, and brings Habitat brand and messaging expertise to all collaborations.

This position may be based at our Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC headquarters on a hybrid basis (one day per week) and requires 10% travel.

Responsibilities:


*Implement content strategy for various projects, under the supervision of the Director of Content Strategy.
*Liaise with stakeholders and address business needs for content.
*Contribute content ideas and act as brand and messaging ambassador, ensuring content aligns with the brand and messaging framework and content strategy.
*Create and shape content that is aligned with organizational strategy.
*Assist with coordination and completion of production processes for content projects, as well as with production, distribution and circulation matters for flagship publications.

Requirements:

*Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
*3+ years of experience writing for creative agency, corporate brand, and/or online publication or magazine.
*Ability to write, edit and evaluate content to meet brand, marketing and messaging needs.
*Ability to work with subject matter experts on a wide variety of content types for targeted audiences.
*Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with a variety of departments and stakeholders.
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

*Experience with content strategy, creative campaigns, brand writing, social platforms and SEO.
*Background in nonprofits.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $64,430 to $75,800.
