The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for developing strategies, establishing goals, and implementing a program focused on individual and foundation funding to support the comprehensive services and programs of DuPage Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs. The funds raised through this position will support the integrated fund development plan that also includes donations and grants from local, state and federal agencies, corporations, faith groups and associations.

This position works closely with the Director of Development, board members and colleagues throughout Habitat to build long term relationships to increase awareness of and support for the organization's mission and goals.

This position is responsible for their own portfolio of major gift donors; integrating development plans with the Sr. Communications and Advocacy Manager; developing and managing their budgets; partnering with development operations on stewardship and prospect management; participation in the Board

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop strategic funding plan for individual major gifts and foundation giving. support for the comprehensive DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity Fundraising Development Plan and the future.
Identify, support and secure gifts from a portfolio of major gift donors, starting at $1,000.
Identify, support and secure gifts for all individual giving constituents.
Create donor stewardship communication plan - welcome email to first time donors, follow-up emails, etc. ... ensuring are donors are stewarded, cultivated, and recognized.
Facilitate annual fundraising program geared towards monthly donors.
Creating and implementing targeted monthly weekly daily email outreach and quarterly newsletters.
Identifying prospects through research and event/peer to peer leads (working with Special Events Manager).
Identify, support and secure gifts through foundation giving.
Partner with development operations, including, but not limited to, records management, prospect management strategies and stewardship/cultivation activities and plans.
Develop, implement and manage "moves management" strategy for donors and prospects and stewardship plan.
Provide direction for development messaging and programs implemented through marketing and communications department, including, but not limited to, special events, E-philanthropy, and other programs of donor communications.
Develop and execute major donor prospect events and recognition opportunities.
Work closely and collaboratively with the Corporate Relations Manager and Sr. Volunteer and Outreach Manager
Develop and manage budgets.
Steward current and future DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity donor relations.
Accurately track all donors in Raisers Edge (Customer Relations Management Data Base)
Provide regular reporting on metrics and progress
Coordinate workplace giving program
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, administration, marketing, or other professionally related programs
Professional experience in working with executive teams and external boards with a minimum of 5 years individual giving experience.
Experience in recruiting, training and motivating donors and volunteers.
Knowledge of the not-for-profit development, fundraising, business and civic community in the DuPage County area and Chicago South Suburbs a plus.
Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge donor management system and research methods for funding sources.
Preferably familiarity with Habitat for Humanity and affordable housing.
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills; excellent oral communication and ability to participate in public speaking events.
Excellent written communication, research, and organizational skills.
Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for fundraising and working with people.
