Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Accounts Payable Supervisor. The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and reviewing work done by the accounts payable associates to ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of HFHI payables. In the event that something needs the manager's approval, it will be directed to the manager. In the absence of the manager, this position will review and post entries made by the accounts payable associates and print checks.

This position is based at our headquarters office in Americus, GA and requires 5% travel.

Responsibilities:


*Responsible for 1099 reporting, escheatment, providing AP information for the 990 report, and new vendor set up within our accounting software.
*Reconcile accounts payable accounts, make any necessary journal entries, complete monthly stat report, and account analysis for the monthly closing meeting.
*Analyze and compile the monthly Cars for Homes spreadsheet and make necessary entries.
*Process the monthly Cars for Homes and pass through donations, which includes ensuring a compliance check is done, reconciling against the donor management system, and running the Gifts to Affiliates/Cars for Homes process in our accounting software.
*Review trial balances for international transfers and secure the approval from finance to pay.
*Work with US support to handle status updates and funds for disaffiliated and inactive affiliates.
*Work with the auditors to supply any requested information.

Requirements:

*Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
*5+ years of experience in the accounts payable/accounting field.
*Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
*Working knowledge of accounting software (preferably NAVISION).
*Working knowledge of electronic travel and expense reporting.
*Familiarity with US GAAP.
*Must have strong work ethic, organizational, and time management skills.
*Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, reliable, and ability to work independently.

Preferred:

*Master's degree in business administration.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $56,190-$66,100.
