Job Overview

The Senior Director of Talent Acquisition is a Center of Excellence (COE) leader responsible for total company talent acquisition strategy spanning corporate and stores, executive and staff. This leader is tasked to evolve employer branding, enhance the colleague value proposition, advance equitable hiring practices, and lead the recruitment of best-in-class talent.

Essential Functions
  • Build a talent acquisition team that is highly connected to top talent, external marketplaces, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead the development and execution of talent acquisition tactics that drive strategic placements (right person, right place, right time)
  • Evolve employer branding to expand reach, engender followership, and establish Bloomingdale's as an
  • energizing employer of choice
  • Interface with Macy's Inc. partners to ensure alignment on global strategy and benefit from shared resources
  • Form strong, mutually beneficial relationships across the enterprise aligning vision, resources, and practices
  • Directly own the recruitment of senior level talent
  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators established by pyramid and company
  • Manage financial budget and demonstrate positive ROI
  • Serve as a member of the Bloomingdale's Leadership Team

Qualifications and Competencies
  • We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply.
  • 5+ years direct experience.
  • Prior experience leading, developing and coaching a team of various levels.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally and build influence across hierarchy levels on high impact, high-visibility corporate strategies.
  • Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, storytelling and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Creative, innovative thinker.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate timeline to team members.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive company information.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Functional Proficiency: Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the enterprise.

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of computers and other office equipment.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
