Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: Quality is in our DNA -- is it in yours? Laboratory Medicine Consultants (LMC Pathology Services, A Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice) is recruiting for a Doctor of Medicine (M.D./D.O.) with completion of residency training (hematopathology) Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology. We are seeking candidates interested in a dynamic, multi-specialty pathology practice serving both inpatient and outpatient clients. Our practice is hospital-based. The successful candidate will work alongside one or more senior pathologists in one of the ten Las Vegas hospital served by our group. Sign-out responsibilities will include a diverse mix of inpatient hospital cases and an allocation of outpatient cases. Essential Key Responsibilities: Examines and interprets prepared tissue sections and body fluids and secretions by using a variety of microscope techniques, including light microscopy, electron microscopy and fluorescence microscopy. Diagnosis, from body tissue, fluids, secretions or other specimens the presence and stage of disease or other abnormalities, utilizing laboratory techniques and dictates findings. Hematopathology: Completion of a one year internship; and Completion of an approved three year residency in hematopathology or four year residency in pathology; and Completion of a one year hematopathology medical fellowship or a three year residency in dermatology and four year residency in pathology; and Be certified in anatomic pathology by the America Board of Pathology or the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology or possess qualifications that are equivalent to those required for such certification; or the American Board of Pathology or possess qualifications that are equivalent to those required for such certification; Company: Sonic Anatomic Pathology Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 Work Shift: Job Category: Pathology Company: Laboratory Medicine Consultants LTD Sonic Healthcare USA is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace for all employees.
