THE ROLE
The Senior HR Technology Consultant plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the effectiveness of HR systems (Workday). Utilizing discretion and judgment, this position focuses on analyzing complex system needs and developing innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will engage in planning, project management, and process engineering to ensure HR technology aligns with defined business needs. This role involves participation in the development, implementation, and maintenance of new modules and functionality, as well as the design and upkeep of Workday processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Serve as lead HR technologist with in-depth knowledge of Workday (HCM, Recruitment). Maintain advanced ability to develop and support all aspects of the HR technology environment. Accountable for the configuration and quality of Workday, data integrity and be proactive in driving continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Apply deep HR skills and knowledge to collaborate with senior members of assigned functional area to develop enterprise-wide technology solutions in support of the broader HR and functional strategy.
- Produce systems solutions to enhance processes, workflows, including new functionality and redeploy existing solutions if needed.
- Serve as company expert maintaining a strong understanding of the HR Technology industry with a particular emphasis on the overall trends in assigned functional area
- Develop and execute system deployment strategies that create long-term employee adoption and usage rates with an emphasis on user experience.
- Create and update documentation such as procedures and guidelines, training material and user manuals relevant to applicable systems and processes
- Train and mentor new or more junior HR Technology team members, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
- Act as a technical thought leader, always thinking ahead on enhancements and sharing best practices that continuously improve the system
- Interact with users throughout MFS, vendors and IT personnel requiring a background in HR and strong knowledge of system tools
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Six to eight+ years' experience configuring and maintaining Workday including at least two of any of the following: Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Talent Management, Security Administration, Advanced Compensation, Integrations
- Current or previous Workday HCM certifications required • Knowledge of Query, MS Excel, Word and Access preferred.
- Demonstrated abilities using analytical thinking/problem solving skills in identifying issues and providing solutions is required.
- Ability to translate comprehensive knowledge of HRIS and its back-end technologies into successful easily understood solutions in a consistent, fast and comprehensive manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a wide range of internal contacts.
- Solid organization and time management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to protect and maintain highly confidential information
- Workday Pro Certifications (HCM, Recruitment, or Integrations)
