Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will design and develop moderately complex solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications under limited supervision.

The Cloud Infrastructure - Technology Engineering - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Fannie Mae seeks Technology Engineer - Reston, VA
  • Develop solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components. Drive database and data analytics related Cloud solutioning for Amazon Web Services (AWS) products.
  • Establish and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for Cloud Governance and compliance.
  • Monitor performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions and lead the team in addressing identified issues.
  • Perform documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making using Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS.
  • Develop Rest APIs and Micro-services to deliver the software applications.
  • Perform code review for code developed & prepare unit testing per test plans & test cases.
  • Deploy applications through CI/CD process with the use of Jenkins CI server, and automated release APIs.
  • Establish and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Build development and performing unit testing/sit/regression testing.
  • Co-ordinate with the functional team whenever clarification is required on the functional design and user requirements.
  • Perform internal quality assurance activities.
  • Responsible for proof of concept (POC) implementations in support of the company's mission to provide multi-channel deployment solutions for Web-based services. This work focused on techniques for authoring and adapting web pages to provide an effective user experience on all devices.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members.

This is a hybrid (work in office and remotely) position.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Req'd:

Master's in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Computer Information Systems plus three years of experience in software development and AWS Cloud migration. Experience must include Spring, Java, JSP, HTML, Bootstrap, Angular, NodeJS, AWS services (S3, EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, RDS, SDK, CloudWatch, Postgres RDS, Lambda), Python, Oracle 12c, Tomcat, Microservices, RDMS, NoSQL database, REST API, Docker, Jira, Confluence, SVN, BitBucket, Jenkins, UCD, Splunk, and Agile. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills are also required.
