Manufacturing Manager

Summary

:

This positi on will be responsible for managing the overall acti viti es in any of the following manufacturing departments - Whole Blood, OTC Fill and Centrifugati on, RedBlood Cell Metrics and Specifi cati ons, Technical Services or Warehouse areas. Lead and manage all functi onal acti viti es associated with the respecti ve stage ofmanufacturing. Partner with key departments to ensure reliable, safe and compliant operati ons.

Primary Responsibiliti es

:

Manage the overall department acti viti es to ensure product are manufactured and delivered in a ti mely manner.

Responsible for all regulatory compliance acti viti es and assures group compliance to cGMP. Ensure safety and compliance regulati ons are enforced.

Follow valid manufacturing procedures and documentati on. Ensure batch records, logbooks, inventory forms, and associated att achments are completed accuratelyand in a ti mely manner.

Ensure that when appropriate, Change Control policies are followed for new or modifi cati ons to existi ng facility, equipment, processes and procedures.

Investi gate all deviati ons in a ti mely manner to identi fy root causes of problems and implement appropriate correcti ve acti ons to prevent from reoccurrence.

Monitor processes to identi fy opportuniti es for conti nuous improvement to develop a culture of operati onal excellence.

Provide leadership to generate support and eff ecti veness throughout the organizati on. Also, provide leadership for group and work with the fi ll, segregati on, andlabeling staff to assist in the training of personnel as well as evaluate the eff ecti veness of training and set individual and group goals.

Monitors the adherence to corporate training att ends and parti cipates in Internal Audits and focus group meeti ngs.

Develop and draft new department policies or procedures, modify or eliminate outdated ineff ecti ve policies when appropriate.

Be a liaison with QA, QC and other manufacturing groups maintaining responsibility for all products produced.

Lead special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abiliti es

:

In previous managerial role for a minimum of fi ve years.

Department specifi c experience preferred.

Must be creati ve, highly organized, self-moti vated, percepti ve, and innovati ve.

Must have strong writt en and communicati on skills.

Must be able to manage diverse group of people with diff erent strengths and skills.

Must be able to handle multi ple tasks and delegate responsibiliti es while maintaining quality.

Detail-oriented.

Excellent team building and project management skills.

Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.

Must have a thorough understanding of cGMP.

Experience writi ng and adjusti ng SOPs as needed.

Profi cient using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Educati on and Experience

:

BA/BS/MS degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or related fi eld.

Minimum of 5+ years of GMP experience

Pay scale of $115,000.00 - $172,500.00 for California based employees, This position is eligible to participate in up to 15% of the company bonus pool.
