Honeywell's ACST team is seeking an R&D Machinist for our Golden Valley, MN location.

Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain method and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will create programs, manufacturing instructions, and identify/design tooling for new or existing product lines.

The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is ($59,400.00 - $74,300.00). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
  • Creating new components from different levels of input (drawings; sketches; ideas)
  • Perform rapid prototyping in collaboration with internal, engineering customers using variety of materials
  • Operate different levels of machine shop equipment from manual to programming numerical controlled
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication processes
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Citizen

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years machining experience with CNC programming
  • High school diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross train and learn multiple processes
WE VALUE
  • 2-year technical degree / certification in a machining program
  • Strong understanding and application of CNC programming and set-up experience (Mastercam, Haas, Okuma, Milltronics)
  • Experience fabricating prototype or production fixtures and tooling
  • Proficiency with manual lathe and mill
  • Experience with programs such as Soildworks and Creo Parametric
  • Working Knowledge of other various other fabrication machines such as: EDM, laser cutting, CNC benders, 3D printing
  • Ability to review a design for manufacturability and provide feedback with proposed solutions
