Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Database Analyst.

In this role, the database analyst will maintain data storage; assess database design; and gather organize and interpret statistical information based on the data in the database Responsible for the design development and maintenance of informational dashboards data and report development and processing applications and database systems, works as part of a cross functional team with other Data Engineers IT staff Data Analysts and Project Coordinators and others assigned to support projects, and works with data from large sometimes disparate data sources to understand and explain key drivers of the business.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Works with Systems Engineer to maintain database development and modification efforts
  • Designs and implements secure efficient and accurate databases
  • Maintains current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management best practices
  • Ensures that databases are designed to meet specifications and security requirements
  • Ensures that database projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Assists System Engineer and identifies and resolves production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities
  • Gathers organizes and interprets statistical data from the database to provide reports
  • Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs nbsp;including identifying critical metrics and KPIs and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision makers
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum three 3 years of experience working with Business Intelligence Analytics Data Warehousing technologies and/or at least two 2 years of related previous experience working with MS SQL Ability to write intermediate/advanced queries using T SQL
  • Must be comfortable working with large structured and unstructured datasets; able to investigate/understand complex data mappings from disparate sources
  • Balance of technical knowledge problem solving report development and communication skills
  • Hands on experience with gathering business requirements identifying the roadmap required to achieve the reporting and analysis specifications and designing technical architecture
  • Strong data visualization skills and experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong written verbal and presentation skills
  • Light accurate keyboarding skills required; Candidates must receive a score of 35 words per minute wpm or greater on the typing assessment that will be administered prior to onboarding
  • Basic knowledge of Excel required Candidates are required to pass the Excel skills assessment prior to onboarding

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with Cisco telephony system, Kronos, and Verint is a plus
