Position Overview The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Statewide Intellectual/Development Disabilities Administrator. Under administrative direction, this position will direct and manage transitional planning for intellectually and developmentally disabled children and youth who are 14 ½ years of age and older. The position will monitor and address various issues impacting transitional planning, including utilization of least restrictive placement, funding, legal issues, transfer of guardianship, and service alternatives for children and youth. The position will monitor and/or conduct Independent Utilization Reviews and will analyze and review residential placement requests for intellectually/developmentally disabled children and youth. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about children and focused on ensuring appropriate transitional planning for intellectually and developmentally disabled children and youth served by the Department.
