ABOUT THE ROLE: During your Strategic Sourcing Specialist Co-Op here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the organization's sourcing operations digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our Sourcing and Procurement function by implementing streamlined processes, best practices and ensuring the continuity through digital initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute solutions that align with the organization's goals and metrics. Oversee outside process suppliers providing repairs and services to the Aero R&O sites. Measure and help maintain the performance of our repair suppliers by regularly reporting their metrics and having direct discussions about opportunities for improvement. Communicate supplier expected delivery dates to leadership and the rest of the R&O site teams, ensuring that delays and parts at risk are quickly identified and escalated appropriately. Work with each supplier to expedite urgent orders when needed to meet customer delivery commitments. Perform repair cost and historical turn-time analysis to help understand supplier accuracy and clearly demonstrate their overall performance. Build strong relationships with each supplier to help promote effective communication and support. Hold suppliers accountable for missed commitments and help to identify appropriate recovery plans when necessary. Understand the needs of our customers and plant stock using SAP and effectively communicate demand and expectations to the suppliers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage and maintain the performance of multiple outside process suppliers providing repairs and services to Aero R&O sites. - Negotiate and communicate vendor delivery dates being sure to identify critical shortages and delays that may require escalation. - Help promote productivity improvement among rework vendors by conducting recurring performance and open-order reviews. - Ensure repairs are completed per customer specifications and on-time delivery commitments. - Perform supplier cost and turn-time analysis to help illustrate their level of support and hold them accountable for deviations. - Develop strong relationships with your suppliers and fellow buyers in order to encourage effective communication and adaptability. - Review and help address supplier issues and quotation approvals when necessary. - Build reporting solutions to monitor Organizational Effectiveness through efficiency improvement and digital tools. - Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status and impact of Sourcing Operations projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive digital transformation initiatives. - Identify and implement process improvements to streamline existing digital tools withing the Sourcing Operations Team. - Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal customers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement. - Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in project management, data analytics and process improvement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (e.g Data Science). - 2+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement. - Strong analytical and data management skills. - Problem-solving abilities. - Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher) - Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S. WE VALUE: - Demonstrated academic excellence - Willingness to relocate - Must be able to participate, in an internship, prior to completing current degree program - Ability to demonstrate the Honeywell Behaviors: getting results, advocate change, foster teamwork, effective advisor and integrative thinker - Excellent oral and written communication skills HoneywellURNAM Additional Information
