Summary:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Nursing for Cardiology collaborates to develop strategies and initiatives supporting Cook Children's Medical Center's Heart Center. In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • service line program growth and development
  • implementation and oversight of safe and quality clinical practice
  • financial performance of inpatient units, outpatient clinics and off-site regional locations
  • for creating an environment that promotes high patient satisfaction, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes
  • creating a culture that supports the Promise of Cook Children's.

You will also serve as a community liaison to develop strong relationships with referral providers and centers, community organizations, and patients and their families.

Qualifications
  • Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Master's degree in nursing or health care administration or business required
  • A minimum of five years nursing experience, which include 3 years in senior management.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS or Friends and Family CPR with AED Education
  • Membership in professional nursing organizations encouraged.
  • Advanced certification preferred
