Description Part-Time Opportunities The Show Place Arena/Prince George's Equestrian Center is a multipurpose facility owned and operated by The Maryland- National Capital Park & Planning Commission. Part-time opportunities are located at The Show Place Arena/Prince George's Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Md. Work hours are flexible and include evenings, nights and weekends. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Salary range of $15.25/hour - $23.64/hour depending on position and experience. Examples of Important Duties Opportunities Include: FOOD SERVICE (1) Food Service Worker/ Production & Service/Security/Sanitation & Safety Prepares concessions stands for events. Operates, monitors and cleans all food service related equipment, including cash registers. Maintains stock areas. Follows all safety and security procedures involving individually entrusted cash and inventories. Properly completes forms pertaining to the reporting of sales and cash tendered. Must be able to work evenings and/or nights, including weekends. (2) Grill Cook Prior experience and training in food preparation to include grilling and frying. Must be able to cook a variety of foods. Maintain work area by cleaning and sanitizing; clean grilling equipment after daily use; ensure preventative and general maintenance of equipment. Assist with inventory management. Take orders and handle sales using Micros. Must be able to stand for long periods and remain focused in a busy and hectic environment. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Should possess a Health Department License and have a valid Serv Safe certificate. Will routinely work weekends that may require long shifts. THE MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION 2025 BENEFIT SUMMARY FOR SEASONAL INTERMITTENT EMPLOYEES The following information is a summary of benefits extended to all Seasonal employees of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change. Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees Health Insurance Plans You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period. If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office. Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
