Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Technical HVAC Sales Representative to join our team in our Pacific Northwest market.

Job Summary:

The Technical HVAC Sales Representative will provide exceptional field service to the customer base in support of the sales effort. Service, promote, demonstrate, and train on all Carlisle HVAC, services, products, and accessories. Analyze the customers' needs and recommend products. Discuss Carlisle HVAC products with customers and explain technical concepts simply. Track metrics related to initiatives monthly and develop new metrics as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travel by airplane or rental car.
  • Scheduling of appointments.
  • Conduct training sessions for distributors and fabrication shops.
  • Promote Carlisle HVAC's features and benefits.
  • Promote our bundling strategies.
  • Support policy deployment and non-policy deployment projects.
  • Completion of monthly reports via present-day electronic means.
  • Telephone assistance for technical questions presented by Carlisle HVAC applicators.
  • Answering telephone calls from outside parties regarding project specifications and warranty requirements.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Essential Full Performance Knowledge:
    • Must have a strong knowledge of the commercial construction market and its business practices.
    • Must have a strong fundamental understanding of engineered fill and specified selling.

    • Must be self-motivated, working well both independently and on cross-functional teams.

    • Time management and organizational skills.
    • Collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Essential Full Performance Abilities:
    • Must be able to present to engineers, architects, consultants, building owners, contractors, distributors and sales reps and internal support team; both in lecture and interactive formats.
    • Ability to sell company capabilities and system feature/benefits.
    • Able to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with people in various positions.

Working Conditions:

  • Majority of time spent in an outside work environment.
  • Four nights a week of overnight travel at times.
  • Mostly traveling to meeting sites and airplane travel may be required.
  • Hours Worked: 40 plus travel at times after hours and on weekends. Most work conducted is in the field. Approximately 10-15% of work is administration or in an office setting (May be at place or residency.
  • Days of Week Worked: Monday thru Friday normally. Occasional Saturday or Sunday work travel as required.
