Title and Summary Principal, Network Architect Overview • Develops new and modifies existing network platform capabilities to support business processes by mapping network platform/infrastructure components, identifying dependencies across systems/platforms and managing network infrastructure security, availability, recoverability, performance, integrity, and supportability Responsibilities • Formulates recommendations to optimize the existing network architecture including developing creative solutions to drive innovation • Oversees Mastercard's network security to ensure optimal network safeguard processes are in place and operational networks are running efficiently for hosted production systems • Tracks and manages architecture issues and their corresponding exceptions or corrective action plans to ensure best practices are implemented and adhered to • Supports process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment • Collaborates with business stakeholders to communicate Mastercard's strategic vision for IT and future state business/technology architecture • May manage the day-to-day global technology domains and sub-domains (i.e., network, datacenter, middleware, compute storage, etc.) to ensure consistency throughout • Mentors and coaches staff by providing training to develop technical skills and capabilities across the organization Experiences • Experience leading large cross-functional network domain initiatives, expected to provide project direction and technical expertise • Extensive experience leading the day-to-day global technology domains and sub-domains • Experience teaming with leaders in the technical community to derive new solutions and future business network requirements • Demonstrated success at selecting and evaluating new technology that will adhere to innovative industry trends and practices. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
