Title: Part-Time Faculty/Anthropology Department: Sociology Campus Location: Arnold/Main Campus Salary Range: $1,114 - $1,203 per FLH Work Mode: This position requires some regular in-person presence on campus or at alternative locations, depending on business needs of the office. Hours Per Week: Work Schedule: Position Type: Part-Time Faculty, Exempt Position Summary The School of Liberal Arts is looking for an adjunct faculty member to teach Introduction to Cultural Anthropology during the Spring 2025 term,. The course will meet in-person, on the Arnold Campus, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 - 10:45AM. The successful candidate must be able to teach in a face-to-face, in person capacity during these hours. They should also be experienced with online learning management systems. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As a part-time faculty employee you are entitled to these benefits In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines. Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics. Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member. Teach all scheduled classes. Maintain accurate records. Responsibilities include: assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.
