Location: Dallas, Texas
Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Flexible)
Days: Monday - Friday

Principal Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation for inspections of ProPath facilities.
- Perform internal audits and mock inspections as needed.
- Be knowledgeable of the laws and regulations relating to laboratory requirements.
- Write and review SOPs related to safety, general lab policies, and quality control.
- Maintain the document control system. Be a resource for laboratory supervisors for how to use document control software.
- Manage and document the receipt, assignment, and follow up to completion of all proficiency testing challenges.
- Maintain equipment inventory, including but not limited to pipettes, microscopes, analytical instruments, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Schedule annual preventive maintenance for equipment including but not limited to pipettes, hoods, and equipment. Maintain all associated documentation.
- Assist the QA Supervisor with training and monitoring of staff for safety requirements such as chemical handling and knowledge current regulations as set forth by Federal, State, Local and the College of American Pathologist (CAP).
Required Education and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in one of the following:
- A chemical or biological science, medical laboratory technology, or histology. An Associate's degree in medical technology or histology with at least two years of training may substitute.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical lab with knowledge of CLIA regulations, and CAP requirements.
- Candidate must have strong analytical skills, detail-oriented; ability to apply the appropriate statistical tools in evaluating QI processes.
Experience:
Two or more years working in health-related position with knowledge of process and quality improvement.
