Description

Leads the coordination and monitoring of all activities required to handle maintenance planning services and support key T-Map projects of the Facilities Management, PET and other site Business Units areas, to achieve and deliver strategic objectives. In addition to planning activities, the position is also responsible for the coordination of activities on the site maintenance that includes Preventive and/or Corrective maintenance (PM and CM), calibration, emergency and projects.

This Role must ensure a systematic cultural transformation using Operational Excellence tools such as Lean, 6sigma, Project & Portfolio Management and others means of Continuous Improvements that will deliver the Strategic objectives. Be a Lean Practitioners to simplify and improve process and systems

Support the maintenance teams to maximize critical equipment availability at minimum cost by developing a systematic planning, control and reporting of maintenance tasks and it associated spare-parts. Establish a failure mode process in maintenance activities, the effect of the failure and determine maintenance needs based on failure analysis.

Support plant obsolescence / replacement strategy to reduce the impact of aging assets becoming un-supported due to obsolescence.

Lead and be present at the site during Shutdown Plan Maintenance activities that may require extending working hours.

Typical Accountabilities
  • Analyze, plan and schedule assigned maintenance jobs, (visit the area or equipment in which work is to be performed) and identify required resources. (materials, special tools, skills, contractor, etc.
  • Accountable to complete maintenance activities as per established schedule (PM or CM).
  • Manage contractors' activities and monitor expense budget as per assigned PO. Comply with all company and local policies and regulations (Finance controls, procurements, SHE, GMP and others.
  • Responsible for the preparation and update of the purchase requisitions (blanket orders) for: contractors, services, parts, materials, etc.
  • Coordinate and supervise services with outside contractors.
  • Generate the SAP preventive maintenance Simulated Schedule Reports on a monthly basis. Review, adjust and correct any error found.
  • Analyze request of spare parts for inclusion at the Stock Room.
  • Prepare, review, or approve PM Program Documentation as required by the area designee such as: Equipment Master Data Entry Request, PM Request, PM Change Request, Equipment Removal from PM Program Request, Work Center Request.
  • Lead the uptime maintenance program.
  • Lead and be present at the site during Shutdown Plan Maintenance activities that may require extending working hours
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEM/Non-OEM suppliers.
  • Develop, monitor and provide information on assigned KPI's in order to improve the required metrics (i.e. uptime, downtime, major issues and actions)
  • Promote a Continuous Improvement Culture assisting line managers to execute assigned project or programs that will delivery strategy objectives.
  • Simplify systems and process. (e.g. SOP)
  • Facilitate the design and implement hierarchy of forums to support value added activities and identify opportunities to eliminate waste in our daily operations.
  • Support the development and revision of procedures.
  • Coach unit members on standard ways of working for sustainable process for improvement.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance with cGMP's and safety regulations.
  • Assure that all contractors under his/her responsibility comply with all SHE requirements.

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Safety and GMP awareness
Language:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software; SAP Order processing systems; Microsoft Project Management software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
