Sr. Manager, Construction
Job Summary
The Sr. Manager of Construction is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects across multiple sites. This role involves leading a team of project managers and contractors, managing all phases of construction, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for maintaining safety, building code compliance, and aligning construction activities with the company's strategic objectives.
Your Key Job Functions
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any delays or issues as they arise.
- Ensure that all construction activities adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction professionals.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing construction team.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence across construction teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including property owners, franchisees, and corporate leadership, to align project goals and expectations.
- Continuously seek ways to improve reimage processes, focusing on operational efficiency, cost management, and quality enhancement.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all construction work meets the company's standards and specifications.
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on renovation, reimaging, or remodeling projects.
- Must have Restaurant Construction experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site construction projects.
- Familiarity with negotiating real estate lease renewals as well as new real estate deals - direct experience is a plus.
- Ability in troubleshooting and problem-solving real estate and business-related problems.
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Must have excellent organizational skills to ensure work gets done effectively and timely.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
- Legal, market research and/or finance experience/knowledge a plus.
