Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Specialist - Facilities Management/Corporate Services.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for providing strategic sourcing services on Facilities Management/Corporate Services spend to NYU Langone Health based on predefined service levels Commodities overseen include but are not limited to: Facilities Maintenance Services Support Services Real Estate and Housing and General Indirect system wide spend Specialist will request review and execute contracts from start to finish Specialist will collaborate with internal teams including but not limited to Data Management Purchasing Clinical Supply Chain and Project Management Specialist works under general direction from the Sourcing Manager Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with and providing direction to Sourcing Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
    • Analyzation Skills Must possess the skills to interpret and analyze data both financially and qualitatively in order to present and interpret outcomes Must be able to explain and convey data to all end users Must be able to identify sourcing opportunities from data
    • Process Excellence nbsp; Maintains expiring contracts report QBR calendar and system price parity nbsp; Provides contract support for new product add and match exceptions
    • Supplier Selection and Contracting Conducts negotiations with suppliers on pricing and contractual terms and conditions nbsp; Must be able to analyze contracts terms and conditions and ramifications of contractual verbiage as it relates to the product service supplier in question and those ramifications within the hospital Develops contracts supporting our business requirements including clearly defined service expectations/goods specifications performance measurement practices and shortfall remedies
    • Relationship Management Acts as customer service support liaison nbsp; Obtains feedback to ensure alignment/expectations are consistent with their departmental goals nbsp; Assists departments implement sourcing changes especially if moving to a new supplier and for more significant spends and services
    • Cost Savings Will identify implement and quantify strategic sourcing savings opportunities nbsp;
    • Business Process Optimization nbsp;Seeks ways to improve business processes within but not limited to Supply Chain Department nbsp;
    • Market Evaluations Gathers and interprets market and competitive intelligence through formal and informal processes nbsp;
    • Assesses Needs and Initiate Sourcing Projects Supports Facilities Management in initiating new projects RFPs based on high spend profile potential for savings upcoming contract expirations process improvement capital projects and other related value add
    • Sourcing Strategies Supports Facilities end users in defining sourcing strategies that optimize value in light of health system needs and market conditions
    • Works with end users to periodically review supplier effectiveness; remains abreast of evolving needs and keeps Facilities aware of evolving market capabilities
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Minimum of two to three years Supply Chain experience and preferably one 1 year in strategic sourcing responsibilities for various commodities both products and services within and outside healthcare organizations Experience running facilities related sourcing events for large multi location organizations High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel Word PowerPoint Visio etc Some knowledge of procurement/sourcing process Desired Skills Sets: o Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work with data in excel; o Organizational Savvy; o Strong written and verbal communication skills; o Excellent customer service skills Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or related field

Minimum Qualifications:

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $85,987.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
