Description Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Shift Crew Leader (3rd shift) to join their team in Carlisle, PA. The Maintenance Shift Crew Leader on 3rd shift is responsible for performing repairs on all machinery and equipment throughout the plant and is also accountable for minor administrative functions including assigning work orders and work order time recording. Expected hours of work 40 hours a week with a varied shift schedule 8-10 hours shifts with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel required. Duties and Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot and repair equipment- evaluate equipment operation and perform necessary action when malfunction occurs, or improvements are needed. • Performs preventive maintenance activities as dictated by work schedule. • Administration-distribute work orders, process/ summarize work order data, initiate purchase requisitions, utilize equipment and process documentation. • Keep MDI Board current and up to date. • Comply and participate regulatory with Carlisle and departmental policies, procedures, and standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS) • Provide training to Maintenance technicians as needed. • Articulate to vendors/engineer's machine issue to resolve technical issues. • Handle and audit preventative maintenance procedures. • Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Ability to train and lead a team of 4 or more Maintenance Technicians. • Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures. • Knowledge of various hand and power tools. • Prior experience operating a forklift. • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information. • Effective communication and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills. • Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. • Have boiler operator certification or ability to obtain boiler certification. • Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA, etc. (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash) • Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills, including ability to utilize electrical instrumentation (megohmmeter). • Complete knowledge of all plant equipment • Ability to use hand& portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP). Working Conditions: • Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels. • Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical and chemical substances/equipment. • Confined workspaces. |
