Description

The Supply Planning Process Execution Team (SP PET) is accountable for developing and maintaining the 0 - 36-month supply plan for the site assets as part of the global end to end supply chain . This requires close collaboration with global planning and site process execution teams to ensure site capabilities are accurately understood, supply plans are well developed and able to be implemented, and future targets are important and achievable .

The SP PET is also accountable for :

  • I ncoming direct materials planning and supplier management

  • A ll activities around import/export of materials and relationship management with the associated supply/customer production sites

  • A ll materials/production data management including MES/EBR

  • I mplementation and control of all new/changed packing materials graphics and associated documentation.

Brief Job Description :

The Supply Cross Functional Specialist is responsible for delivering electronic and paper document management services for cGMP documentation at the site . The incumbent utilizes complex, interfaced document management systems to create, revise and control various types of documentation including, but not limited to Master Batch Records, Standard Operating Procedures, and other cGMP document types as assigned. This role is critical to enabling production at the Newark site while ensuring that systems and documentation are compliant and meeting business requirements.

As a responsible contributor for the operation, this must be done while maintaining compliance to CGMP's and other regulatory requirements, as well as AstraZeneca standards .

Coordinates Level loaded delivery schedule with Key Business Units

  • Coordinates r e - test of materials with QC Functions when necessary

  • Seek for information and support from AstraZeneca Operations Purchasing/Category Managers in supplier management issues

  • Identifies needs and opportunities to improve lead times and cost for Direct Materials, close communication with internal customers.

  • Monitoring raw materials and packaging components inventory levels to ensure optimum stock levels.

  • Preparing materials requisitions to support production plans and New Product introductions activities.

  • Systematically monitors completion of their purchase orders and close s - all that are completed as per procedure.

  • Coordinates the disposition of rejects materials and performs a cost benefit analysis of material; scheduled for r e - assay or rework.

  • Develops deeper understanding of how the supply chain function can make valuable contributions and how it interacts with other functions, such as manufacturing and quality

  • Supports colleagues through the use of information technology systems to optimise performance, reduce costs, minimise risks and support change initiatives

  • Follows systems and procedures that ensure the day-to-day functioning of the supply chain, identifies any issues and potential problems and resolve them quickly

  • Collect data on supply chain operations. Analyze data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency.

  • Ensures own work is aligned with Good Practice ( GxP ) Supports technical aspects of a specific line of business within the Supply department

  • Takes responsibility for accurately measuring and reporting key performance metrics, and maintaining the AstraZeneca planning system

  • Performs data analysis and review, and undertakes some independent problem solving where appropriate

  • Contributes to the material requirements ordering process.

  • Resolves routine issues that arise within the ordering of material process to ensure continuity of supplies

  • Escalates more complex issues to more senior employees

  • Ensures processes are set up and run in accordance with the agreed settings and parameters

  • Reviews work practices and proposes changes to enhance functional effectiveness

  • Understands the logic of SAP, Documentation Systems and the integration with other systems.

  • Communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences pertaining to SAP and TDMS.

  • Demonstrate Lean behaviours by actively working towards continuous improvement, consistent and simplified ways of working.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working in SAP

  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements, compliance, validation, and NDA compliance.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications . Excellent MS Excel skills.

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail with strong organizational ability.

  • Ability to work and communicate within a global, culturally diverse, and fast-paced team environment

  • Strong team working skills

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in data management applications and ERP systems such as TDMS and SAP

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • Sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice, Safety, Health and Environment and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Supply Chain Analysts will have experience with data collection and analysis tools to build recommendations to drive improvement in the supply chain processes
