Description

This role is designed to lead one of the US and Global Cardiovascular Insights Teams, including brand strategy, performance, launch, and LCM. This team will provide strategic and operational business insights capabilities, an in-depth understanding of the brand/molecule/therapeutic area (TA), and enable delivery of insights from primary market research, forecasting, analytics, and competitive intelligence into actionable insights and recommendations that drive senior executive decision-making. As a strategic partner to the Commercial VPs within CVRM as well as cross-functional leaders, this role delivers comprehensive brand performance insight, opportunity assessments, and innovative approaches to brand strategy and execution that drive a competitive edge for the CV portfolio. Leadership within this role integrates primary market research, analytics, forecasting, and reporting with considerable functional depth required across each to drive high performance amongst a team of multi-location IA&F professionals. This role establishes business partnerships with multiple partners beyond the Cardiovascular Brand team including but not limited to Competitive Intelligence, Market Access Strategy, Pricing, Compliance, Finance, Sales Force Operations, Corporate Affairs, and Medical Affairs. Additionally, this role leads and develops a team of highly skilled staff across multiple locations, appropriate resource allocation, and cross-functional/portfolio/special projects.

Accountabilities:

You will oversee and guide the development and integration of industry-leading customer insight, market intelligence, and analytics helping the organization to frame business problems and opportunities to shape future-proofed strategies and deliver sustainably differentiated brands/early assets, business development opportunities, and TA strategies. You will be responsible for bringing a proprietary data-driven external point of view into recommendations by using a network of sources and publicly available information, either on brand or TA level, for internal and external communication.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree

- 10+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably both Global and US local strategy/commercial insights roles)

- 5+ years experience using a range of analytics involving standard data in the Pharmaceutical Industry e.g. IQVIA (MIDAS, DDD, NPA, Xponent), claims data (LAAD, MarketScan, Optum, Prognos, Symphony), other epidemiological data (Clarivate, RWE, publications) and performance tracking

- Exceptional business insight, critical thinking and understanding of sales and marketing business practices

- Entrepreneurial approach to impact leadership and high emotional intelligence

- Experience advising senior level executives, strong coaching and problem-solving skills

- Strong ability to influence laterally and vertically

- High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes and methodologies

- Strong market research and analytical expertise, excellent financial modeling and forecasting skills

- Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functionally and manage multiple, complex demands

- Strong written and verbal communication

- Managed a group of at least 3 insights, forecasting and analytical staff

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- MBA /PhD

- Experience in leading Insights in the Cardiovascular space, preferably within Diabetes, HF or CKD

- In-depth knowledge of regional market dynamics and/or in-market or regional experience
