This person is responsible for ensuring that the product delivered meets the client's needs and business requirements. They will work as part of an Agile team and possess the ability to convert potential business value into refined product backlogs. You will report directly to our Supra Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Salem, OR location on a Hybrid work schedule. Solid grasp of user story writing including necessary details and acceptance criteria. o Owns and maintains backlog. Constant backlog prioritization. o Negotiates with the client representatives, stakeholders, and delivery team to prioritize work in the backlog and help maximize the value the team delivers o Eliminate surprises for upcoming sprints by hosting backlog refinement meetings with delivery team • Relentless customer focus o Quickly gains hands-on knowledge of product o Gathers information about the customer from a variety of sources (customer themselves, Ops, Tech Support, Sales, Eng. Etc.) o Provide customer perspective and product management vision to the delivery team o Understands the various users of the product, including other systems that may consume the product, in order to ensure that they are building a product that provides value to the users • Solid technical acumen o Able to understand and represent team's ability to deliver (what can be done, what might be able to be done with research/prototyping, what cannot be done) o Actively leverages spikes when gaps are identified in delivery team's ability to execute o Proactively identifies and integrates enabler user stories into backlog o Supports and participates in the engineering processes (SDLC, tollgate, release management, etc.) • Advocates agile o Prioritizes agile ceremonies of delivery team and user story acceptance over other priorities of time o Accurately sets stakeholders expectation based on delivery team's capacity o Provides transparency at every level of the process YOU MUST HAVE • 2+ years of experience as a member of an Agile software delivery team • 1+ year demonstrated experience working as a Technical Product Owner with strong understanding of system requirements and architecture, including demonstrated ability to write user stories for delivery team implementation • Able to quickly learn a new product or domain and communicate with delivery team on how to integrate new features • Demonstrated experience in helping stakeholders identify business value/objectives and using this to prioritize work WE VALUE • Bachelor's degree (science-based degree preferred) • Certified product owner or scrum master training is a plus • Excellent written and verbal skills • Highly energetic, motivated, creative with passion for user-experience, technology, and product development ABOUT HONEYWELL Honeywell International Inc.
