Title and Summary Information Security - Engineering Intern, Summer 2025 - United States This role is not eligible for Mastercard's work authorization sponsorship. About the Team Mastercard's Information Security teams monitor system security and compliance, develop, deliver, maintain and monitors IT security policies, standards, and best practices. Implement security monitoring procedures, performs security related incident response and investigations. The teams also oversee compliance and the implementation of disaster recovery procedures. Not an engineer? No worries! Our Corporate Security team looks for people with a variety of backgrounds including business, program/project management and analytics in addition to engineering. Internship Program Mastercard's summer internship program provides emerging talent with projects that will enhance skills as well as contribute to the department's goals and objectives. In this program, you will participate in: - Networking events, mentorship opportunities, and hear from senior leaders - Volunteer and team building opportunities - Formal performance assessments - End-of-summer presentations to peers and Mastercard leadership Role Description As an Information Security Engineer Intern, you will be involved with: - Challenging and meaningful projects - Networking, mentorship, and access to senior leads - Volunteer and team building - Formal performance assessments - End of summer presentations to peers and Mastercard leadership Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree, or accelerated master's program, majoring in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field with a graduation date of December 2025 or beyond - Less than 1 year of experience - Exposure to security, including network and internet systems security - Strong communication skills - Some experience in technical skills (i.e code development, platform management, sys admin, etc..) is a plus - Understanding of security services (authentication, vulnerability management, security log monitoring) is a plus Mastercard is an inclusive equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
