Job Overview:
The Macy's Stores Operation Center (MSOC) Supervisor is an integral part of the Store Environment Team, supporting all Macy's Inc. locations in the event of catastrophic/business impacting emergencies, and obtaining quick resolutions to all maintenance and environmental issues within each store. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the MSOC Call Center and may share that responsibility with up to 3 additional supervisors (including EMS and Alarms) on any given shift. They are required to respond to work on an "on call" basis for emergencies to support the business continuity team and must be available to work non-standard/flexible hours. Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel requirement: Travel may be required to conduct field training and/or to receive specialized training.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervises the MSOC call center staff, monitoring coverage to ensure all incoming calls are answered in a timely manner.
  • Schedules MSOC colleague lunches and assignments daily, PTO and clocking adjustments and work schedules.
  • Coaches, trains, develops and mentors the MSOC colleagues 20-30 percent of the time.
  • Works with the team daily to establish and maintain priorities in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Operates the Macy's Work Order System (on job training) or similar.
  • Answer emergency calls from stores via the MACY911 hotline and make emergency notifications to senior management.
  • Strong working relationship with facilities executives, store leaders and contracted vendors
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational and decision-making skills coupled with good written and verbal skills.
  • Maintains and improves customer service standards within the call center to drive sales.
  • Position requires a flexible work schedule including Saturday and Sunday shifts. The Center is open 24 hours 7 days a week.
  • Performs various Store Environment support assignments and special projects as delegated.

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
  • 2-4 Years Experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
  • Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • This position requires long periods of sitting in front of a computer and/or answering phones.
