Description

We are seeking Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative science fields for a 12-Week Student Intern role in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.

Position Duties

  • Develop an agentic chatbot for integrating unstructured and structured data within biopharmaceutical development g rou p .

  • Investigate the benefits of graph-based approaches ( GraphRAG ) in chatbot development.

  • Compare different fine-tuning approaches and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models to enhance the chatbot's performance.

Position Requirements

  • Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a relate d quant itative science field.

  • Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Cypher/SPARQL is essential.

  • Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), foundational models, and RAG models is necessary .

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required .

  • Familiarity with GraphRAG and Knowledge Graphs is ideal.

  • Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.

  • US Work Authorization is required at time of application.

  • This role will not be providing OPT support.

  • Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 3-5 days a week. This role can provide relocation assistance to non-local candidates in need.

  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
