Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Representative, Patient Access Services - Per Diem, Evening Shifts - Mineola. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for completing the registration process and creating the first impression of the institution's services to patients families and other external customers. Articulate required information in a manner that patients, guarantors and family members understand ensuring clear explanation of their financial responsibilities and expectations. Assume clinical and financial risk of the organization when collecting and documenting information on behalf of the patient. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Healthcare Access Associate CHAA. 1-2 years customer service experience in a healthcare or related setting. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications Outlook Word and Excel. Excellent communication both written and oral detail orientation customer service organization and multitasking skills. Customer service experience in a Healthcare or related setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.17 - $23.17 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
