Job Summary
As a Vendor Ambassador for Rugs, you provide outstanding customer service in our rug department and create a memorable shopping experience for our customers. In this role, you are responsible for meeting sales goals, cultivating repeat clientele, selling protection plans, and managing return rates. You will be the rug expert for your area by demonstrating superior product knowledge to upsell and suggest the best rug items for specific customer needs. You will champion best practices to sell rugs with your fellow colleagues, communicate trends and execute company and vendor initiatives.

What you will do - Engage with customers to understand their needs, demonstrating knowledge of the vendors' products and services to build sales, brand loyalty, and minimize returns
- Demonstrate knowledge of products and services to build rapport and loyalty
- Understand how to drive sales through vendor training, events, and strategies
- Use our clientele program to build relationships with customers, meet sales goals, and share promotions and product launches
- Communicates with vendors and store leadership to execute company and store-based events to achieve sales goals
- Analyze business performance and create strategies to exceed daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual goals
- Leverage vendor relationships and product knowledge tools to increase product and brand awareness across entire store
- Utilize technology to complete customer orders, assist customers in envisioning and selecting the most suitable products for their needs, and provide support to those using devices to shop and compare
- Ensure high-level of customer service through problem-solving and customer-focused solutions
Adhere to Asset Protection and inventory control compliance procedures Who you are - Demonstrate ability to build relationships and convert customers into clients

- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers, and all levels of management
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Must be comfortable with the use of computers, mobile devices, and frequent use of radio frequency equipment
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- 1-2 years of previous selling or retail related experience is required
Essential Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the store or department
- Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, and color vision
- Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs
