Director of Remarketing (East)

Travel Required

The Community Choice Financial® Family of Brands is seeking a Director of Remarketing. The Director of Remarketing (for the East region) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's remarketing operations. In this role, you will assist to enhance our remarketing strategies, hands on auction inspections, optimizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. Your goal will be to position the Company ahead of the market by implementing and execution efficient processes and achieving maximum returns on the sale of assets.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the integration of all asset remarketing activities with our current POS system to ensure seamless operations.
  • Recommend new policies and procedures to enhance remarketing processes, monitor expenses, and identify revenue and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Apply knowledge of state and federal requirements related to recovered vehicles and remarketing, collaborating with compliance as needed.
  • Partner with District Directors and Regional Vice Presidents on remarketing processes and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor all auction accounts, working closely with field managers to maximize sales potential.
  • Establish, measure, and report weekly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the remarketing programs.
  • Distribute asset remarketing results to key stakeholders as requested to provide transparency and insights.
  • Recommend improvements to existing title loan products, including processes and pricing, and support the development of new products to contribute to the Company's growth and profitability.
  • Assist in managing performance, compliance, pricing, and quality for a nationwide network of repossession vendors to ensure maximum recovery.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to improve processes, establish benchmarks, and enhance overall efficiency throughout the Company.
  • Oversee the integration of skip trace data with repossession efforts to optimize recovery.
  • Develop multi-channel recovery operations, streamline fee structures, and implement logistics solutions for improved efficiency.
  • Directly manage our vehicle inventory portfolio to maximize profitability, ensure timely resell, and report on available vehicles.
  • Manage all remarketing vendors and ensure maximum return on investment (ROI).
  • Stay updated on remarketing industry best practices to further develop a best-in-class remarketing program.
  • Provide guidance and solutions for vehicle remarketing issues, including title problems, vehicle sales, and quote-related matters.
  • Manage and audit multiple mechanics within the company's mechanic program.
  • Continually assess and enhance policies and procedures, monitor expenses, and identify revenue and cost-saving opportunities in the remarketing department.
  • Share remarketing results and knowledge across departments to support Company-wide initiatives.
  • Undertake additional projects and duties as required to meet the evolving needs of the Company.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 50-75% travel
  • 8+ years progressive work experience in remarketing vehicles on a national level.
  • 5+ years leading and directing lending professionals in various roles from originations through collections.
  • Solid, broad understanding of all aspects of vehicle remarketing.
  • Strong knowledge of technology systems and vendors used in lending workflow applications, decision engine, credit bureau vendors, scorecard models, loan management systems, and pricing models.
  • Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Must have excellent negotiation skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including administrative, sales, management, the leadership team and ownership.
  • The ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time productively.
  • Accomplished in developing and executing strategic plans.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills, along with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
  • Expert skills in decision-making and problem-solving to be solutions oriented.
  • Ability to be a self-starter who can readily adapt to a fast-paced, complex environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of auction operations to include experience with remarketing programs.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
