Overview The Avanti Command Center is looking for a Senior Principal, Software Engineering to lead analysis, architecture, operations and troubleshooting initiatives for Avanti in-scope programs for both on-premises and cloud deployments. This role is in support of a strategic technology initial to drive support for localized deployments to meet regulatory and customer on-soil requirements. This role will report into the Avant Command Center Tech Design and Assurance Lead. Role In this position, you will: • Work with A&T, ONE, Product, BizOps, Security and Compliance in order to identify, prioritize and ultimately mitigate the most impactful technical challenges facing Payment Networks, Shared Services and other Avanti in-scope products and programs. • Support definition, consistent planning and execution of solutions and mitigations to the challenges identified for these areas. • Drive and manage overall view of dependencies across Avanti in-scope programs. • Identify, manage and escalate risks as necessary for Avanti in-scope programs. • Prepare for sessions to achieve executive alignment on challenges where one or more programs are unable to progress. • Partner with Reporting and Communications function to deliver frequent updates to executive leadership on foundation and edge-in execution status. • Work with broader Localization Governance executive steering committee plus O&T/P&E/C&I leadership to remove any barriers/blockers to execution for Avanti in-scope programs. • Provide single-point-of-contact support for Avanti in-scope programs on technical challenges, sharing learnings across programs All About You The ideal candidate for this position should have: • Extensive experience leading complex, cross-domain technology efforts. • Proven track record for deployment and support of Mastercard production application or service. • Technology depth and past engineering experience with either market-facing, shared services or internal services. • Demonstrated success with influencing and building relationships for strategic results across operations, stakeholders, and enterprise. • History of executive level-communications is a plus. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments; flexibility to handle rapidly changing scenarios. • Strong communications skills, demonstrated success in delivering executive communications. • Always looking for potential solutions to solve problems. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
