Director, Product Management - Data Compliance Platforms

Overview:

The Director, Product Development, Data Compliance Platforms is responsible for designing enterprise-scale data platforms to enable a broad range of data-driven innovative products and services. This role will interact with Mastercard product teams to identify common product requirements, build a business case and work with technology stakeholders to deliver world-class enterprise capabilities which meet the strategic business objectives of the Data Governance and Enablement organization.
This role will report to the Vice President, Product Development, Data Compliance Platforms and is responsible for delivering internal and external platforms which unlock the value of data while mitigating risks.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Work with executive management, senior data and business stakeholders to define strategic Data & AI initiative priorities and platform product roadmaps for creation of new data capabilities that meet the short and long term, regional and global data and regulatory enterprise needs.
• Own and drive the build and execution of the new/ expanded enterprise data capabilities: define value-driven requirements with clearly defined success criteria and deliver superior product versions in an agile manner.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and updates. Create and manage a prioritized product backlog. Drive end-to-end feature delivery working with stakeholders, cross-functional and engineering teams, advise prioritization, and execute per the Product and CX roadmap.
• Identify impactful and scalable opportunities for product innovation, develop business case, explain purpose, benefits, and strategy for execution.
• Conduct research to gather and leverage internal/ market insights, understand key challenges and recommend innovative solutions to inform platform strategy. Identify differentiated solutions and customer experiences that enhance transparency to empower end users
• Own, develop and maintain documentation and training content.
• Drive the adoption of the platform capabilities. Identity opportunities to scale to achieve efficiency. Collaborate with product operations to identify opportunities for simplifying and streamlining operational processes.

All About You

• 10+ years of experience in product development and management, with the ability to successfully lead and execute build of enterprise-grade global data platforms delivering impactful product capabilities, customer experiences and platform strategies.
• Strong business acumen to create product vision and strategy. Demonstrated experience in building strategic product roadmaps with a passion to drive results in a collaborative manner.
• Comprehensive experience in Mastercard's agile delivery methodologies
• Experience building, implementing, and tracking plans for large and complex programs that span multi-year, multiple geographies and have multiple delivery and support partners. Define workstreams and manage cross-functional teams to achieve measurable targets.
• Analyze trends, data and reports to come up with compelling solutions to complex problems. Define, develop, and execute data strategies that align with business objectives
• Superior thought leadership, possess strategic & conceptual thinking to communicate in detail with the technology teams as well as at a strategic level with the senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, influence and negotiate to help arrive at solutions with various internal/ external stakeholders.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Information Technology, Engineering or proven equivalent experience in the related disciplines.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
