Director, Consulting Product Management for Open Banking

OVERVIEW
The Global Open Banking and API team is responsible for developing and building the future of open banking and a developer-first approach that propels innovation with fintech and other partners, in support of realizing Mastercard's multi-rail potential.
The Open Banking Practice Group drives development and promotion of highly configured consulting solutions to drive market development, efficiency in business development, product design as well as project delivery. The team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. You will work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and start and scale ups.
ROLE
The Director will have a proven track record of working effectively in a team to drive to successful outcomes, exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. In this role they will:
• Work with internal and external clients to define and frame problems in the open banking space, define the scope of projects and be the source of intellectual insight about open banking.
• Develop open banking strategies and programs for large, regional, and global Mastercard clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value.
• Own key relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders and independently assess client agenda, internal culture, and change readiness.
• Supporting projects or work streams related to market development and strategic and commercial challenges for open banking in Mastercard markets around the world
• Develop presentations, generate research insights, undertake complex analysis to support recommendations.
• Help create and generate thought leadership pieces and work with the VP Open Banking Consulting to develop training curriculum to deepen acumen and expertise across Services, including:
o Authoring commercial whitepapers.
o Curating Webinars that provide deep dives to topics and associated consulting products that illustrate the latest trends and serve as potential lead generators for consultancy sales.
o Create case studies that serve as best practice examples for the respective consulting products.
• Support the Services sales functions and Delivery teams to secure new customers, support the refresh of sales materials and narrative, and provide our customers with a first-class experience.
• Bringing competitor insights to help differentiate Mastercard's open banking and increasingly aligning this with Open Finance/Data (also known as Smart Data).
• Manage working relationship with different stakeholders, and act as trusted and reliable partner for Open Banking.
• Lead project teams identifying creative insights and sound business recommendations and deliver impactful client presentations both internal and external.
• Collaborate with internal Mastercard stakeholders including Product and Business Development to scope projects, create relevant solutions for clients, and build the firm's intellectual capital.
• Provide analytical and day-to-day project delivery team leadership, and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels

Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree with work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, business line management, or product management
• Experience managing key client relationships
• Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
• Ability to identify new business development opportunities, and experience drafting proposals and scoping new opportunities
• Logical, structured thinking, and affinity for numerical analysis
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English,
Preferred qualifications
• Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a consultancy firm.
• MBA or master's degree with relevant specialization (not required)

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
