POSITION SUMMARY

The Photo ID Aide works under the supervision of the Photo ID clerk in issuing the appropriate IDs to campus community members, both students and employees, in addition to verifying student's current enrollment status. The aide will assist with the implementation of the Photo I.D. program on all the college's campuses. Requires the ability and willingness to provide services at off-site locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operate the Photo ID online carding system and maintain related records.
2. Maintain and troubleshoot Photo I.D. equipment and computers.
3. Assist with marketing and promoting the photo ID system to the college community.
4. Work with varying on-campus departments to maintain an effective carding system, such as campus police, financial aid, the bookstore and new student orientation. Work with Human Resources to implement employee I.D. cards, policies and procedures.
5. Preserve relationships with local businesses that offer JJC student discounts.
6. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. H.S. or equivalent.
2. One (1) year of related and/or clerical experience.
3. Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office software.
4. Working knowledge of photo editing software to promote the campus card and edit images sent for online carding.
5. Attentiveness to detail, strong organizational skills and initiative.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
9. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in the community college environment
2. Familiarity with Datatel Colleague application.
3. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency
4. Demonstrated multicultural competence

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
