New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey resources is seeking a Manager Business Performance. This role will lead a team that harnesses data for strategic advantage, driving insights across our customer operations and customer experience via our Business Performance organization. You'll cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence, leading your team to turn data into compelling narratives that inform critical decisions, produce actionable business feedback, and partner with peers to support execution.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee business insights' accuracy, reliability, and integrity by implementing data validation and quality control processes.
  • Develop and refine tools and technology to aggregate, segment, and visually represent data accurately for use by the business.
  • Use data and analytics to conduct complex analyses to quantify insights, identify opportunities, and influence strategic business decisions.
  • Identify and work collaboratively with peers to implement practical, targeted solutions to improve the efficiency of customer service operations and/or the customer experience.
  • Understand stakeholder business objectives and operations and effectively disseminate this information to your team members, ensuring alignment and strategic support.
  • Manage budgeting, staffing, reporting, and planning for Business Performance
  • Collaboratively support initiatives that deliver operational excellence and achieve departmental and corporate strategic objectives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to capture internal and external feedback through surveys, complaints, employee feedback, and direct customer outreach.
  • Establish a strong culture of shared accountability and collaboration that strengthens our interactions and partnerships with our internal partners.


Position Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience in statistics, economics, business, or another related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an analytical role managing highly quantitative and analytical projects.
  • Develops staff and manages performance through coaching, on-going performance feedback. and formal performance appraisal process to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  • Provides support, guidance, and backup, as well as informs, instructs, and evaluates all subordinates, initiating training when required on an individual or departmental basis.
  • Excellent facilitation and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in fact-based analysis, executive level presentations, and problem solving.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up.
  • Comfortable with shifting priorities, timelines, and requirements
  • Team-oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-company, cross-functionally, and cross- department.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of survey software and database tools a plus.
  • This position is Hybrid requiring 3 days in the office in Wall.
