You have a talent for mobilizing volunteers and fostering sustained enthusiasm for a shared goal. You’re eager to support the recovery movement in Wichita by maintaining and growing this high-impact chapter. Wichita is our third largest market in the country, and you’ll be stewarding 100+ volunteers. You’ll also be reaching new goals quarterly and reporting nationally on local volunteer impact. You care deeply about helping to reduce stigmas about living sober. If this sounds like you, keep reading. This position will focus on gathering, coordinating and supporting volunteers to lead activities such as CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, art nights, book clubs, and socials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and upholding expectations with a large pool of volunteers in a supportive manner. ABOUT US The Phoenix's mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live. Through activities such as CrossFit, book clubs, rock climbing, art socials, yoga, and meditation, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. The Phoenix offers free programs, both in person and online, for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety. Since 2006, we have served hundreds of thousands of individuals with the help of thousands of volunteers across the country.
