Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Nephrology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Cook Children's, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is recruiting a full time pediatric nephrologist to join its rapidly growing pediatric nephrology department! We have active kidney transplant, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, Aquadex, ECMO, and plasma exchange programs. We have an 8-chair outpatient hemodialysis center as well as full support staff including urologists, transplant surgeons, interventional radiology, nurses, social workers, dieticians, child life specialists and an innovative pet therapy program. Our service area includes most of North and West Texas as well as portions of Oklahoma and New Mexico, through our main campus in Fort Worth, medical center in Prosper, nine satellite clinic locations, and an active telemedicine program.Qualified applicants should expect to do 1-2 outreach clinics per month. Our ideal candidate will be someone who will dedicate a significant portion of their time to transplant patients and we are very supportive of new graduates. Opportunities for clinical research and teaching are also available, both in-house and through collaboration with Fort Worth's two medical schools. Qualifications: • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required. • American Heart Association BLS and PALS. • Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date). • Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics. • Board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Nephrology Cook Children's offers competitive compensation, malpractice coverage, health and dental insurance, and an excellent retirement program.
