This opportunity is:

Location: Honolulu, HI

Schedule: Full-time

Days/Hours: TBD

Base salary range: 80k -100k

Under the Supervision of a Pathologist and other supervision, and in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and guidelines. In this role, you will:
  • Delivers the required products/outcomes for each project, phase, or stage
  • Ensures quality is achieved as planned
  • Delivers projects to time and cost within agreed tolerances
  • Manages the people, work, and resources involved
  • Establishes and updates plans with actual forecasts
  • Manages deviations from the plan
  • Reports to respective stakeholders
  • Escalates decisions and unresolved issues
  • Concludes the work upon completion or premature cessation
  • Liaises with the project's identified business champion (customer)
  • Ensures all project requirements and/or objectives are property documents in a business case and/or project brief, as appropriate, and vigorously pursued
  • Establishes or confirms guidelines as applicable to the project
  • Obtains and manages all necessary services and competent staff for the project
  • Ensures timely activity, integration, productivity, and efficient use of resources to meet requirements
  • Facilitates communication as appropriate to all involved and "manages" the stakeholder.
  • Establishes appropriate key success indicators and manages trade-offs between scope, quality, time, and cost
  • Approve or recommend all required commitments
  • Approves all appropriate project expenditures with the assistance of assigned stakeholders and program managers
  • Tracks and reports progress, including a realistic forecast of final target positions, using the tracking method sanctioned by the organization.
  • Documents obtains approval, and tracks all changes in project parameters
  • Document all obstacles, delays, and claims
  • Closes all project documentation and archives appropriate records
  • Prepares and maintains project financial records, develops summary reports,s and distributes them as needed
  • Assists with project budget planning, including obtaining quotes, vendor negotiations, and submitting a purchase request
  • Works with the Executive team on the purchase request approval process
  • Adheres to safety, confidentiality, compliance, and legal requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

All you need is:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Healthcare experience preferred. Laboratory-specific experience a plus
  • Minimum 2 (two) years project management experience
  • PMP certification required
  • Proven ability to be goal and results focused
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and self-disciplined to obtain results
  • Proven ability to project plan
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to influence others without formal authority
  • Excellent ability to motivate others and delegate responsibility
  • Excellent business acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Proven ability to meet customer needs
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite skills, project management technology skills a plus
  • Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills, including by telephone
  • Excellent and proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
